Today’s Sunday Snap is a picture taken in the small, but vibrantly colored town of Guatapé, Antioquia. From the minute you set eyes on the “Welcome to Guatapé” sign, you know you have just been transported to somewhere magical. It’s one of those places that captivates you and sweeps you away in an instant. It almost seems unreal as you walk through this colonial town, soaking in all of the vibrant and dynamic colors and admiring the intricate and elaborately painted designs on the houses and store fronts, being greeted by overly friendly residents and shop owners.
While there are many other things that one could use to describe and characterize Guatapé, for me it will always be known as “the most colorful town in Colombia.”
